About the Center:
Tafsir Center for Qur’anic Studies was established in (1428 Hijri – 2008) in the city of Riyadh. It is a center concerned with Qur’anic studies and related developments. Its efforts are devoted to serving and advancing this field on multiple directions, the most important of which are: scholarly, educational, technical, and media directions. In its vision, the center was dawned for the great importance of the field of Qur’anic studies and its need for continuous development and renewal to remain able to achieve its knowledge objectives in the service of the Holy Qur’an and researchers in its related branches of knowledge with a disciplined scholarly method.
Therefore, the center’s efforts have been focused on:
– Creative scholarly production that revolutionizes ideas and opens new horizons and wide doors for review and reflection on Qur’anic studies and its major issues.
– Promoting the pioneering research in Qur’anic studies and contribute to its publishment.
– Bringing the related knowledge of the Qur’an closer to the beneficiaries by various means, and providing scholarly advice concerning the Holy Qur’an and its related branches of knowledge.
– Providing an advanced technical, educational and media space that helps to seriously advance the field of Qur’anic studies.
Awards won by the center:
1. The center won the International Prize for Serving the Noble Qur’an in Ramadan 1435 Hijri, as the best research and studies center in the service of the Holy Qur’an and its related branches of knowledge.
2. The center also won the Kuwait International Prize of the Holy Qur’an, in its eighth session in 1438 Hijri, for obtaining (Ayah App) the first rank as the best Qur’anic App.
3. For the second time, the center won the Kuwait International Prize of the Holy Qur’an, in its tenth session in 1440 Hijri, as the best website in serving the Holy Qur’an, for the project of (International Observatory for Qur’anic Studies).
